Background and Experience:
Dr. Thilo has always had a passion for helping individuals become an integral part of high performing teams in a way that feeds the person, the group as a whole, and the individuals they serve. As a Board Certified anesthesiologist and the Medical Director and Business Administrator of an outpatient surgery center, she led her business for twelve years during which time the center attracted surgeons and patients from all over Western Washington, enjoyed extremely low employee turnover, and boasted a patient satisfaction rating of greater than 99%.
An entrepreneur at heart, Jane left clinical practice to found an Internet company that brought indispensable business resources to ambulatory surgery centers. In 2001, she founded a firm that offers consulting and executive coaching to both high tech and health care clients including a number of Fortune 100 companies. Building on this unique combination of clinical and business experience, she has refocused her energy on coaching physicians and other health care leaders. She writes, speaks, and consults on emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness.
Education and Credentials:
Dr. Thilo is a Certified Physician Development Coach™ and has completed extensive training in executive, leadership, and developmental coaching. She is a Certified ChangeWorks Professional ™, and is certified to deliver the Emotional Competence Inventory™. She graduated from Wake Forest University School of Medicine with honors and completed residency training in Anesthesia at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. She is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and a member of the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Thilo earned a Master of Science degree in Management with a focus on Strategic Leadership from Antioch University Seattle. Her Masters thesis, A Leadership Model for Transformative Change in Healthcare, offers a model for helping physician leaders develop Emotional Intelligence to become more effective leaders.
